ICCFA
The International Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Association (ICCFA) is a worldwide group that supports everyone involved in the funeral, cemetery, cremation, and memorial services. It has over 10,000 members, including professionals from funeral homes, cemeteries, and crematories, as well as suppliers and other related businesses worldwide. The ICCFA offers its members great educational resources, opportunities to connect with others in the field, and help with legislative matters. It aims to help its members become more efficient in managing their businesses. ICCFA offers a range of services and products tailored to their needs. These services include updates on laws and government issues, educational events, and more.
The ICCFA was founded in 1887 as the Association of American Cemetery Superintendents by 18 cemetery managers who wanted to improve their properties' look and operation. Over time, it grew to include a broader range of members. It changed its focus, becoming a national organization for cemeteries. In 1996, it changed its name to include funeral services and expanded internationally. In 2007, it added "Cremation" to its name to reflect the increasing importance of cremation in the industry. The ICCFA continues to help its members keep up with the industry and adapt to new trends.
